13TH -15TH SEPTEMBER 2022: TRCS HQ STAFF RCCE TRAINING IN BAGAMOYO

TRCS Secretary General, Mr. Felician Mtahengerwa opened RCCE training for the TRCS Headquarters Staff being conducted in Bagamoyo District, Coastal Region. The training started on 13th until 15th Sepetember 2022.

Training was organized by TRCS DM Department under support from IFRC to whom Ms. Synthia Sawe ,Senior Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) Officer,Eastern Africa and Indian Ocean Islands, represented IFRC

TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY AND BELGIAN RED CROSS  COLLABRATING TO CONDUCT FIRST AID ANNUAL SEMINAR IN DODOMA

On 13/09/2022, Dodoma TRCS Chairperson, member of TRCS Health Committee who is also a member of TRCS NEC, Mr. TRYPHONE MKOLOKOTI opened a seminar for TRCS First Aid trainers which started their annual meeting for four days as part of implementation of their duties, orientation and revision of First Aid training materials curriculum.

He talked more about the importance of First Aid Training where by he also instructed the trainers to continue maintaning Fundamental Principales of Red Cross and Red Crescent while doing First Aid stuffs  and be at the forefront of desseminating WOFA in order to continue helping the most vulnarable people and also bringing income to the NS.

TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY

 

The Tanzania Red Cross Society (TRCS) is a voluntary humanitarian organization established as an independent National Society (NS) by the Act of Parliament No. 71 of December 1962 and amended by the Parliament of Tanzania in 2019. Tanzania Red Cross Society was recognised and admitted to the membership of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in 1963. The TRCS Headquarters office is located in Dar es Salaam.

TRCS is now the largest and most dependable national partner in delivering humanitarian services in Tanzania. The TRCS has an active network in all regions of Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. Around 40% are women out of more than 35,000 active volunteers. Most importantly, because of its credibility, TRCS receives supports from a broad range of partners, including the IFRC, the ICRC, the American Red Cross, the Spanish Red Cross, the Belgian Red Cross-Flanders, the French Red Cross, the Italian Red Cross, the Chinese Red Cross and the Korean Red Cross. Other partners are UNHCR, UNICEF, WFP, UNFPA, the EU, USAID, CDC, BPRM and Pathfinder International.
