TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY

Chama cha Msalaba Mwekundu Tanzania(TRCS) ni shirika la hiari la kibinadamu lililoanzishwa kama taasisi huru ya Kitaifa (National Society) kwa Sheria ya Bunge Na. 71 ya Disemba 1962 na kufanyiwa marekebisho na Bunge la Tanzania mwaka 2019. Chama cha Msalaba Mwekundu Tanzania kilitambuliwa na kukubaliwa uanachama wa Shirikisho la Kimataifa la Vyama vya Msalaba Mwekundu na Hilali Nyekundu (IFRC) mwaka 1963. Makao Makuu yapo Dar es Salaam.

Mwenyekiti wa Kamati ya Uchaguzi ya Tanzania Red Cross Society anawatangazia vijana wa TRCS wenye sifa kujitokeza kugombea nafasi zifuatazo.

Today 17^th November 2021, Tanzania Red Cross Society led by its president Hon. David M. Kihenzile (MB) met in a special session with the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDEC) (Tanzania), Hon. Dorothy Gwajima, at a meeting held at the Tanzania Red Cross Society Headquarters, Dar Es Salaam.

During the meeting, TRCS presented the various activities carried out by TRCS here in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar islands and thus created a continuing work for the Ministry of Health through its various departments. Also, The Minister had the opportunity to review the ongoing work in the TRCS Emergency Operation Center (EOC) and be satisfied with the ongoing work in the unit.

Hon. Dr. Dorothy Gwajima has received a wide range of submissions from TRCS at the session and has promised to work on them before this year ends.

On 5^th November 2021, the president of Redcross Tanzania Hon. David M. Kihenzile (MB) met with Dr Rashid Seif Suleiman (former Director of TRCS Health Department and former Minister of Health of Tanzania) who is currently the Bill & Belinda Gates Projects Representative in the Country.

The two, have talked a lot on the way they can join powers in pushing the agendas of TRCS and Tanzania in general in which Dr Seif has shown a willingness to use his expertise and network to push TRCS agendas.

This session is part of Kihenzile's self-reliance strategy as a Volunteer to serve the TRCS.
