WHAT IS TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY?
Tanzania Red Cross Society (TRCS) is the humanitarian; non-for–profit organization established in Tanzania by the Act of Parliament number 71 of 1962 and is mandated to play specific voluntary humanitarian roles during disaster/ emergencies and in peace time as an auxiliary organization to the Government.
WHAT IS THE ROLE OF TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY?
TRCS is an auxiliary to the Government in the provision of humanitarian services at any place where needed without discrimination and as per guidance provided under the enabling legislation and Geneva Convention of 1949 and its additional protocols of 1977 and 2005.
WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER OF TANZANIA RED CORSS SOCIETY?
Any person can become a member of Tanzania Red Cross Society by following an appropriate registration procedure.
HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY?
Become a member of Tanzania Red Cross Society through different registration channels:
- Visit the closest TRCS Subbranch countrywide for membership registration.
- Visit TRCS website on www.trcs.or.tz and get an access to the membership system for registration OR join registration via this link https://member.trcs.or.tz/ by clicking register now and fill the requirements.
- In items 1 & 2 you need to pay membership fee (Through mobile phone/payment system Tigo pesa, M-pesa or Airtel money. start entering your control number 999****** followed by company’s number 700500)
HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER OF TANZANIA RED CROSS SOCIETY?
AVolunteer is any person who is freely offer to do something for the community services.
