The Tanzania Red Cross Society (TRCS) wishes to address public inquiries and online information circulating regarding fundraising activities linked to our humanitarian support operations.

No Fundraiser Launched by IFRC for TRCS

We would like to clearly state that the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has not launched any fundraising campaign for Tanzania Red Cross Society at this time. Any communication or messages suggesting that IFRC is collecting funds on behalf of TRCS should be treated with caution.

TRCS is currently leading humanitarian response efforts on the ground, with support from IFRC and our Movement partners. Our teams continue to work with communities, volunteers, government authorities, and humanitarian actors to provide emergency relief and health services.

Avoid Misinformation & Fake Fundraisers

To protect the public and ensure support reaches affected communities:

•  Only trust verified TRCS and IFRC official channels for information, appeals, and donations
• Be cautious of unverified mobile numbers, personal accounts, social media pages, or messages asking for donations
• Report any suspicious fundraising activities to TRCS or relevant authorities
